DAVIS, Maude Hack

Maude H. Davis of Stringtown (RR 1, Covington), age 92, died Tuesday, May 18, at her home. She was born at Stringtown, October 4, 1889, the daughter of William Henry and Laura Ellen Crowder Hack. September 9, 1904, she married Ross Elmer Davis, who died December 24, 1969. A life resident of Stringtown, Mrs. Davis was a member of the former Snoddy EUB Church.
  Surviving are nine children, Pearl Bassett and Mildred Williamson, both of Perrysville, Lucille Ping of RR 1, Covington, Alma Johnson and Don Edward, both of Cayuga, Fauniel Daniels of Rockville, Laura Bell, Doris and Willard Davis, all at home; a sister, Hazel Miller of Bloomingdale; two brothers, Walter Hack of Cayuga and Chauncey Hack of Clearwater, Florida; 22 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial was in Coal Creek (Snoddy) Cemetery.
